Peck mumbled to the bunnies, her eyes soft with care, "Remember me..." She handed the bunnies a drum, and whispered, "I will be gone for awhile, and promise me this," Peck paused, her ears lowering, "When I'm gone, you will play this drum." The bunnies looked at Peck, their eyes confused, yet certain. "We will." They said at once. "Thank you..." Peck whispered and petted a tiny bunny's head. Peck got onto her feet, and turned around. "Good bye...!" She smiled, the bunnies smiled back. She turned around for the final time, and walked along the sides of Greely and Liza. "But... Where is she going?" She heard a bunny whisper, and murmurs started. She closed her eyes and sighed. "It'll be fine, Peck, we'll just be gone for a few days..." Liza said, her tone sweet and sympathetic. "What if it's not just a few days!? What if it's months, years, decades even!" Peck cried, her voice screeching. "We'll be as quick as we can, we can't be certain on date." Greely said briefly, eyes on the road. Peck closed her eyes tightly and sighed. "Yes. The bunnies will be fine..." "From I know from bunnies, the bunnies are safe creatures that know how to fight back, they learned from you, remember?" Sir Gilbert said, his eyes certain. "Whew, okay. Let's hurry."
At the bunnies...
"Okay everyone! Do we all have our drums?!" A bunny asked. "Yes!" "Yep!" "Yup!" "Okay! From the start!" The bunnies played, loud banging came from the drums, raccoons stared and penguins watched. The main bunny looked around, sweat slowly dripping from their forehead. "Guys! We should stop..." They whispered. "Why? We're doing so well!" A bunny asked. Raccoons and Penguins stopped, they're eyes wide. "We shouldn't play guys, we're horrible..." The bunny squeaked. "But Peck said we have to! We promised, remember!" Another bunny squealed. The main bunny turned around to face the crowd, their eyes drooped. "I think we have to break a promise to Peck..." The crowd gasped, murmuring began. The main bunny waited for silence and the crowd looked at them, their eyes struck with worry. The crowd nodded and the bunnies picked up their drums.
After several months...
"A few months wasn't so bad, I just hope that the bunnies drummed while I was gone!" Peck remarked., her eyes brightening at the sudden relief. "Don't worry about it Peck, I'm sure they'll be drumming when we get back!" Graham smiled, his eyes bright. Peck smiled, and she jumped happily. "Across this bridge, and we're there." Greely grunted. Peck's ears twitched her smile turned into a frown. "Peck? Is something wrong?" Liza asked, her eyes worried. "Something doesn't feel right..." She jumped forward, her eyes concerned. She jumped across the bridge, creaking every jump. "She's just being protective, you know Peck!" Cosmo laughed. But suddenly, a loud scream grew over Jamaa. "What was that?!" Greely roared, his giant paws leaping in front of him. The Alphas ran toward the scream and Peck's eyes were wide with fear and shock. Phantoms swarmed the town, lightning striking near animals. "The bunnies... They... They didn't drum... Like I said..." She whispered quietly. Bunnies ran across the land, their eyes scared as phantoms chased them. Peck closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Her eyes opened, her purple eyes sparking with anger. She crouched down, her teeth gritting. She leaped forward and leaped in front of the bunnies. A phantom floated, it's eye staring with stress. Peck stared back, her ears perked up. The phantom's eye opened wide, and it floated away quickly. She turned around to the bunnies, her eyes clouded with anger. The bunnies shook, not only at the danger they were in with the phantoms, but also with the anger that was in Peck's purple eyes. "Stay here..." She whispered quietly and sweetly. Her ears flew forward, a wind gusting across the land. She turned around quickly and a tornado formed in the sky. A giant phantom never seen before emerged from the tornado, and Peck squinted. She leaped into the air and her paws were glowing purple. She brought her paws together, her eyes shining white. She lifted one paw in front of the phantom and blasted a purple ray at the phantom. The phantom screeched and disappeared, stars falling from the sky. Peck floated down slowly, her eyes closed and her breath slow. She was laid on the ground and her sides moved slowly with deep breaths. The bunnies jumped forward towards their Alpha and stood around her. "Peck?" One cried. Peck breathed. Greely pushed between the bunnies and stood in front of Peck. "She needs her drum." He said. "Her drum?" A bunny asked. "Her drum." Greely repeated. A bunny leaped forward, a drum in it's hand. Greely took the drum and set it beside Peck. "Now we just wait..." Greely whispered. Peck's chest glowed, and so did the drum. A purple light sent through the air and into Peck. Her eyes slowly shifted open and she got up. "Wha... Greely? Bunnies?" She groaned. "Peck!" Bunnies cried. They piled onto her, Peck laughed and smiled. She glanced at Greely and he nodded.
