Animal Jam Stories...The Day Phantoms Struck

The moon was high, the animals returning to their dens. The Alphas stood still in the shadows, making sure Jamaa was safe. "Nothing tonight." Greely said, his voice quiet and deep. "Let's go back to our dens." Liza said, the moon shining on her face. "Good night." Peck replied, and hopped away. The Alphas left, but an eye floated in the sky. Eyes swept Jamaa, going to each land. They stopped in Jamaa Township first, and lurked the streets. A hut beyond bamboo stood in the town, Liza's den. Eyes flew through the bamboo, swiftly and quietly. The door was locked shut, and the lights were off. Eyes smashed through the window, and Liza lifted her head at the sudden noise. "Who's there?" She moaned. A scream shook the hut, but no one heard it. The phantoms struck Coral Canyons next, the moon higher than before. A cave was hidden, blocked by a boulder that sat for ages. Only one could get in, and that was Greely. The eyes struck lightning, attempting to break the boulder. The boulder smashed into two, pieces flying in the air. Greely's eyes opened, his yellow eyes glistening with the moon. "No!" He growled, but it was too late, the voice vanished into the air as fast as light. Appondale was next, a dark cavern in the rocks. Sir Gilbert slept inside. Not a sound was made, but there were no breaths left. Hidden in the Temple of Zios, a shadowy cave goes deep into a cliff. The eyes flew inside, and suddenly, a loud yowl was heard. But no one reacted. In a tree within Saperia Forest, Cosmo lurks with his plants. The eyes flew in, the fastest than before, and not a word was said. The eyes flew to Peck's home, far away from the others. A drum was where she slept, and all was heard, was a loud thump on the drums...
The next morning...
A crowd formed in Jamaa Township, mumbling and crying was sounding from the crowd. "Where are the Alphas?? Where's Peck, Greely and Liza?" Someone cried. Suddenly, a storm crossed through Jamaa, everything turned silent. Phantoms flew from the storm clouds, their eyes squinted, and one groaned, "You're coming with us..." Screams rose as the phantoms carried off jammers, one by one. The phantoms flew into a volcano, purple sludge instead of lava. Jammers had fallen, their heads spinning. "Greely!" A jammer yelped. The Alpha stood in a metal cage, his eyes closed and his breaths slow. "Now, little jammers, go clean up this volcano, it's a mess..." A phantom growled. The jammers stiffened and scurried away. "We can't let this happen!" Liza whispered to Greely. "I know how to get out." Greely grunted. "How?" Liza asked, her voice still quiet. "Get the phantoms over here, and I'll do the rest." Greely growled. "Yes. Okay." Liza took a deep breath. "Phantoms!" Peck bounced. The phantoms turned, their eyes squinting. Liza squinted back, and blinked once. A phantom flew forward, and snapped, "What?" "I bet you can't break our cages..." Greely smirked. "Is that a challenge?!" It zapped. "What do you think?" Greely laughed. The phantom's eyes glowed red and zapped a lightning bolt at Greely's cage. The cage broke into pieces and Greely spoke again, "Heh, I've seen flowers destroy more cages than you..." Greely smirked. The phantom shot a lightning ray at all the Alpha's cages and fell to the ground, exhausted. "Thanks for breaking us out." Greely laughed. The phantoms eyes turned wide and flew away as fast as it could. The Alphas looked at one another and nodded. The Alphas closed their eyes, and started mumbling. Peck glowed purple, Greely glowed blue, Liza glowed turquoise, Graham glowed orange, Sir Gilbert glowed red, and Cosmo glowed green. The colours joined together, creating a massive, bright light. The phantoms turned, seeing the light. The light blasted strongly at the phantoms, and all were destroyed. The jammers watched and stared at the magnificent act the Alphas had never done before. Howls of happiness rose from the crowd and all the jammers went to see their Alphas.
The End.
